Biyografi

Professor Yüksel Göktaş completed his undergraduate education in 1998 at Gazi University, Department of Computer Education. He received his master's and doctoral degrees from the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies at Middle East Technical University in 2003 and 2006, respectively. His doctoral dissertation was awarded the Best Ph.D. Thesis of the Year by METU. Between 2005 and 2006, he was a visiting researcher at Purdue University, Department of Educational Technology, in the USA. He served as a faculty member at the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies at Atatürk University from 2007 to 2021. Currently, he is a professor in the Department of Software Engineering at Atatürk University and also serves as the university's Vice Rector.

His academic work focuses on instructional technologies, teacher training, and digital transformation in education, with a particular emphasis on integrating new technologies into teaching and learning. Over the past two decades, he has made significant contributions to the field through national and international research projects, academic publications, and scientific collaborations in educational technology. Prof. Dr. Göktaş conducts research in educational technologies, human-computer interaction, reality technologies, and instructional design. He contributes to strategic initiatives to improve quality in higher education, advance digital transformation, and develop learning-teaching ecosystems.
