Biyografi

Professor Şener Büyüköztürk is one of the most influential scholars in Türkiye in the fields of educational measurement and evaluation and research methodology. He completed his PhD in Educational Administration and Planning at Ankara University in 1996, received the title of Associate Professor in Educational Measurement and Evaluation in 2005, and was promoted to Full Professor in 2010. He began his academic career at Ankara University and subsequently served at Başkent University and Gazi University. In 2015, he joined Hasan Kalyoncu University Faculty of Education, where he was appointed Dean in the same year and served in this position until May 2024.

His research interests include research methods in the social sciences, data analysis, scale and test development and adaptation, performance assessment, and social impact evaluation. He has authored 66 journal articles, including 18 indexed in SSCI and SCI-E and 20 indexed in ESCI and Scopus, as well as 47 conference papers, 20 of which were presented at international conferences. He is also the author of five major reference books on research methodology and data analysis. As of December 2025, his citation counts are 280 in Web of Science, 374 in Scopus, and 88,869 in Google Scholar. In addition, he has served as principal investigator, researcher, or consultant in 43 publicly funded projects, making significant contributions to the institutionalization of measurement and evaluation practices in Türkiye.
