Prof. Dr. Aytaç GÖĞÜŞ
Biyografi
Professor Aytaç Göğüş is the Dean of the Faculty of Education at Istanbul Okan University, Professor of Educational Sciences, and a member of the Quality Commission. She is developer and coordinator of the Faculty Support Program and the Faculty Member Training and Development Program. She is a member of the YÖMEGA board of directors. She holds a PhD and a master's degree in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation from Syracuse University in the USA, and a master's degree in Mathematics from METU. She has projects, scientific publications and encyclopedia sections on the subject of providing solutions to complex problems in learning and teaching using newly developed technologies and methods. She worked as a teaching and project assistant at Syracuse University, as an instructional designer and course writer at McGraw Hill, as a visiting researcher at the University of Toledo, as a lecturer and expert at the Center for Individual and Academic Development at Sabancı University and as the head of the Department of Educational Sciences at Istanbul Okan University.

- Purpose of the Workshop
The purpose of this workshop is to explore the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools in higher education by examining and comparing the perspectives of university students and faculty members. The workshop aims to discuss the perceived benefits, concerns, ethical considerations, and positive experiences associated with GenAI use in academic settings, and to encourage participants to reflect on how GenAI can be used effectively, ethically, and responsibly in higher education.
