Assoc. Professor Mine Canan DURMUŞOĞLU graduated with top honors from Hacettepe University’s Department of Child Development and Education. She worked as a kindergarten teacher at the Ministry of National Education and served as a Child Development Education Specialist at Hacettepe University’s Practice Preschool. She completed her master’s degree in the Department of Child Development and Education at Gazi University and her doctorate in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Hacettepe University. She currently works as an associate professor in the Department of Preschool Education, Basic Education Division, at Hacettepe University.
Dr. DURMUŞOĞLU teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in early childhood education and supervises master’s and doctoral theses. She has volunteered to provide training seminars for parents and teachers in disadvantaged regions and has developed preschool education programs. Her academic contributions include national and international research, authoring and editing book chapters, and her work spans areas such as “Family Education and Involvement,” “Family and Community Engagement,” “Early Childhood Education Programs, Approaches, and Models,” “Children’s Literature,” and “Preschool Education Environments.”
She has participated in projects funded by the European Union, UNICEF, TÜBİTAK, and the Ministry of National Education. Notably, she served as a faculty member in the Family Education Guide team under the EU-Türkiye partnership project “Improving Quality and Access in Early Childhood Education.”
