Professor Aysel KÖKSAL AKYOL

Professor Aysel KÖKSAL AKYOL graduated from Ankara University School of Home Economics in 1989. She completed her master’s degree in 1992 and her doctoral degree in 1997 in the Department of Child Development at the same institution. In 1993, she began her academic career as a research assistant in the Department of Child Development at Ankara University School of Home Economics.

Between 1993 and 2003, she worked in the Preschool Teacher Education Program at Gazi University Gazi Faculty of Education, and from 2003 to 2009, she served in the Department of Child Development and Education at Ankara University School of Home Economics. Following the integration of Child Development departments into Health Sciences Faculties, she has been a faculty member in the Department of Child Development at Ankara University Faculty of Health Sciences since 2009.

Her research focuses on various aspects of early childhood development, including supporting development during early childhood, early childhood education, early childhood education programs, alternative educational approaches, creative drama, and child studies in museum settings.
